Meet Dr. Peto
Dr. David Peto became a dentist to help people and a periodontist because he felt that was the best way he could help patients get their smiles back. He is a highly skilled and knowledgeable periodontist who believes in delivering the highest quality dental care to his patients. He is very experienced in all phases of modern periodontal therapy and dental implant placement, using advanced techniques and materials.
Dr. Peto is married and has two beautiful daughters. When he's not working, Dr. Peto enjoys playing the piano, working out, and spending time with his family.
Education and Advanced Training
Dr. Peto pursued the highest levels of clinical and research training in periodontics. He completed training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center where he completed several years of post-doctoral education in gum disease and dental implants. Before becoming a periodontist, Dr. Peto practiced general dentistry for two years after the completion of his General Practice Residency at the University of Southern California. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto.
Teacher and Researcher
Throughout his career, Dr. Peto has taught and supervised future dentists. He has served as clinical faculty at the University of California Los Angeles and was on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also an award-winning researcher on dental tissue engineering on the molecular level
